Short Description About JAC
Journeys to Active Citizenship (JAC) is a unique collaborative project between North York Community House (NYCH) and Ontario Council of Agencies Serving Immigrants (OCASI), funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). JAC is in the process of co-designing curriculum and tools for civic engagement programs for —and with— immigrants and refugees. The 5-year project (2020-2025) fosters a more inclusive Canada by empowering newcomers to play a greater role in shaping communities.
